Cheap Overseas Spending Card

Instead of carrying cash along with you when you travel overseas, you might want to get a cheap overseas spending card. Several banks have international spending cards that do not have any “hidden” international usage charges. If you use one of the cheap overseas spending cards, make sure to repay in full to avoid
 high-interest rates.

Smartphone GPS

Get one of the free GPS apps that have local maps and use it on your smartphone for navigational purposes when you are overseas. This will help you to avoid paying for expensive data you use to a GPS system on your phone.

Cheap Flights

There are several cheap airlines offering flights to a variety of destinations around the world. You can check for budget airfares online. Look at a couple of budget airline sites for the cheapest ticket before you go ahead and buy the tickets.

Dealing with Language

If you are traveling to a country where English is not the main language, you will need a bit of help to get around. There are several iPhone and Android apps that can transform your phone into a translator. Most language translator apps have free language packs, so choose one and download the language pack for the country you are traveling to and you will have a translator in your pocket.
